About The Position

This role is responsible for inventory management, including assisting with a major project to reorganize Odessa inventory and implement control processes. The position will focus on cost control, efficiency gains, lead-time improvement, and communication with shared resources. The Inventory Gate Keeper will oversee the Odessa trigger report to manage safety stock and ensure efficient processes for consumables. The Cycle Counter will perform routine stock checks to ensure accurate inventory counts in the SAP system, contributing to cost control and lead-time improvement. Document control is crucial, ensuring all new inventory is posted to orders and properly accounted for before placement or shipment. Additional duties include managing daily operations such as incoming mail, check processing, and invoice/records filing. Purchasing duties involve acquiring necessary office, repair, and machine shop items. The role also involves assisting Rockford Shared Services with accounting, purchasing, or customer service inquiries.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Minimum of 1-year warehouse, assembly, or production experience; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience or knowledge of mechanical seals or pumps (a plus but not required)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail
• Ability to occasionally lift objects between 0 – 50 lbs
• Ability to occasionally team lift / hoist objects over 51 lbs
• Basic computer skills

• Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Inventory management and control process implementation
