About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wall Panel Designer / QC Specialist to join our team! As a Wall Panel Designer / QC Specialist tech you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for curtainwall and load bearing wall panel structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Strucsoft MWF
• Strong understanding of building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
• Ability to understand/read Architectural, Structural, MEP drawings and shop drawings from other contractors
• Experience with 3D modeling software
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Previous experience in the construction or steel fabrication industry
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• 2-5 years of experience in steel detailing, or related experience in the construction or engineering industries
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and construction methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings and plans for curtainwall and load bearing wall panel structures using Revit, Strucsoft MWF and other BIM based software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders (client) to ensure accuracy, constructability and completeness of plans
• Check and verify design calculations, specifications, and other technical documents
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Communicate with clients and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of projects
• Participate in the review and approval process for projects, making recommendations for improvements as needed
