About The Position

Quality Counts (QC) is a transportation data collection company seeking a temporary employee for a special public right of way (PROW) project. This role involves gathering data for transportation engineers and planners to aid in decisions about sidewalk design, operation, and maintenance. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors rather than in a traditional office setting.

Requirements

• Techy savvy and love to walk long distances.
• Can quickly learn and operate PathVu equipment and software.
• Will follow all project instructions and deadlines.
• Thrives in an outdoor working environment.
• Self-motivated and can work independently.
• Problem solver.
• Located near the city of Hartford or close enough to commute to/from the Hartford city center.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for a local municipality for the evaluation and planning of a public right of way infrastructure project.
• Utilize a multi-sensor profiling tool comprised of lasers, high resolution cameras, and GPS (pushcart with electronic sensors) to gather measurements of local sidewalks and pedestrian curbs.
