About The Position

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a humanitarian organization supporting people affected by conflict and disaster in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities. Its Baltimore walk-in team provides need-based services to eligible refugees, asylees, and other humanitarian immigrants. Under supervisor direction, the intern supports daily walk-in services and works directly with individual clients and families to help them navigate available services. The internship provides opportunities to learn about refugee and immigrant eligibility for U.S. services, Maryland public benefits, local Baltimore resources, holistic case management, problem-solving, and communication in a global context. The Spring 2027 internship is hybrid, combining office, remote, and field work in the greater Baltimore area.
