About The Position

Waitstaff personnel are responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible while assisting in the creation of a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. This position also follows the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire dining process. This position requires strong menu and beverage/wine knowledge, is professional and gracious while enhancing the dining experience through outstanding service skills. Handle all opening and/or closing duties required to properly operate restaurant. Ensure that all stocking is done, the tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean and ready for service. Responsible for the completion of all side work assigned and seeks out additional responsibilities to help the dining room function smoothly when work assigned is complete. The Tavern on the Square is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night seven days per week. Popular at all times of day, The Tavern is a high volume, casual environment offering hearty food and a variety of beverage choices with exceptional service and modest prices. Live music during apres ski (and some evenings) makes this a popular choice with both resort guests and locals alike.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year Server/Waitstaff experience in a high volume restaurant/hotel/resort.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Previous restaurant POS experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully in English, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with InfoGenesis POS.
  • Current TIPS certification for responsible service of alcohol.
  • Previous experience at a luxury hotel/resort.
  • Conversational Spanish or other languages skills.
