About The Position

Waitstaff at Home Cafe take customer orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly. They check on guests regularly, offer refills as needed, prepare coffee using a brewer, and provide welcoming, attentive service that encourages guests to return. The role also includes stocking condiments and paper products, clearing and sanitizing tables, and performing other general cleaning duties. Waitstaff are expected to remain alert to their responsibilities and restaurant operations and to keep their supervisor informed of concerns.

Candidates should have hands-on hospitality, hosting, or serving experience, preferably in a gaming environment, and experience working under pressure or to deadlines. The position requires problem-solving, organization, and the ability to prioritize work. One or more years of recent, related experience is required. Compensation is $12.14 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Accurately take customer orders and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and offer refills as needed.
• Perform sidework, including stocking condiments and paper products.
• Operate a brewer to prepare coffee for guests.
• Deliver excellent customer service and make guests feel welcome.
• Maintain a clean work environment, including clearing and sanitizing tables and performing general cleaning duties.
• Remain alert to responsibilities and restaurant operations, and inform the supervisor of concerns.
