Waiter/Waitress (Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part time WAITER/WAITRESS positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, deliver food professionally while maintaining sanitation standards, and follow up on guest needs. A thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens is required. You will communicate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests. The role also includes cash-handling procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and addressing guest complaints promptly. You will also be responsible for setting up and cleaning the dining area and operating various kitchen equipment. Collaboration with other departments for special events is also part of the duties.
Requirements
- Prior serving experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, adhering to safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained according to sanitation standards.
- Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
