Waiter/Waitress (Part Time)
About The Position
Unidine is hiring immediately for part time WAITER/WAITRESS positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver food professionally while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The position requires a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, the ability to advise guests on food and drink combinations, and to accommodate reasonable requests. You will also communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are met. This role emphasizes exceptional communication, teamwork, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment. You will also handle cash-handling procedures, address guest complaints promptly, and set up/maintain the dining room. Operating various equipment and collaborating with other departments for special events are also part of the duties. A high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding guest information is expected.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, adhering to safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests.
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others.
- Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
- Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained according to sanitation standards.
- Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
