About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part-time Waiter/Waitress positions at Heritage on the Marina. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, delivering items to guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences, working with a supportive team that makes a real impact.
Requirements
- Previous serving experience preferred.
- Willing to train.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room.
- Take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.
- Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
- Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
- Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
- Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
