About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for taking meal orders and serving assisted living residents during evening service. The role involves ensuring resident satisfaction through attentive service and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

Requirements

Must be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow rules and regulations of sanitation.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willing to attend all inservice training sessions.
Willing to learn and interested in upgrading the food service department.
Must be able to work weekends to fill in when there is a shift shortage.
Must be able to take initiative to see things that need to be done and do them (e.g., cleaning and helping other staff members).

Responsibilities

Bring waters to residents upon seating, introduce yourself, and offer drinks and coffee.
Inform residents about the daily special, take their orders, and confirm the food order.
Submit orders to the cook.
Prepare desserts while the cook is preparing main orders, refill drinks, and clear away dishes.
Serve food orders and provide drink refills.
Clear dishes and reset tables.
Prepare food items such as citrus fruit, cottage cheese, applesauce, condiments, and salad dressings.
Run dishes through the dishwasher as they are cleared.
Ensure all dishes and the work area are cleaned before leaving.
Ensure the walk-in cooler is cleaned.
Ensure dishes are stored clean, dry, and in their proper place.
Ensure all food preparation is ready for the next shift.
