About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Wait Staff/Server serving meals to residents in a long-term care facility and helping ensure an exceptional dining experience. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences.

The position involves serving meals according to residents’ dietary needs and preferences, preparing and maintaining dining areas, supporting meal preparation as needed, and following sanitation, safety, and food-handling requirements. Servers work with residents, guests, kitchen staff, dining staff, and other team members to provide friendly, smooth meal service.

The role requires residence within the service area and the ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks, work around food and cleaning products, and meet the stated physical demands. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a dining or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and effective communication with residents, staff, and management.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residence within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals.
• Maintain a clean and safe dining environment by following sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude when interacting with residents, guests, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining staff to support smooth meal service.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, including plating and assembling meals.
• Follow safety and food-handling regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
