About The Position

The Wait Staff/Server position at Home Cafe is responsible for taking customer orders accurately and serving food and beverages promptly. This role involves regularly checking on customers to ensure satisfaction, offering refills, and maintaining a clean work environment. The server will perform general cleaning duties, including clearing and sanitizing tables, and foster good working relationships with guests and employees. Proper uniform and nametag maintenance is required, along with wearing a gaming license if applicable. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements for the effective and efficient operation of the business. Additional duties include performing sidework such as stocking condiments and paper products, delivering excellent customer service, making guests feel welcome, answering menu and general information questions, and following established security protocols to ensure a safe restaurant work environment. Maintaining alertness and general awareness of restaurant operations at all times, and keeping the supervisor informed of any concerns are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on hospitality, hosting, or serving experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
One (1) or more years of recent and related experience.
Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
