About The Position

The Wage (Adjunct) Agency Instructor I provides training for the TEEX Extension Program within Texas Region 2. The position delivers and coordinates classes, conferences, area schools, National Fire Academy hand-off and field delivery courses, and other special training programs as assigned. The position must reside in Texas Region 2 and reports to the Training Coordinator. It is a temporary/casual staff position, with flexible work on an as-needed basis, paying $45.00 per hour. Two positions are available.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of experience in Emergency Services, such as Fire/Rescue, Haz-Mat, EMS, Emergency Management, or Law Enforcement.
• One year of experience in adult education and/or training.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Certified Instructor through TCFP, SFFMA, TCOLE, DSHS, TDEM, or an equivalent certifying organization.
• Must reside in Texas Region 2.
