About The Position

The Recording Head Operations team is looking for a Supervisor. In this position, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of operators. You will oversee activities in a production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. This is a C shift position, Friday-Sunday, and every other Thursday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Eventual shift rotation for business needs when openings occur is possible.

Requirements

• Ability to work C shift, Fri-Sun, and every other Thurs from 6:30am to 6:30pm
• Tact and discretion which allows you to obtain cooperation and to ensure all confidentiality is maintained.
• Able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to plan, develop, coordinate and direct a large group of people.
• Must be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of operators, engineers and technicians.
• Good communication skills which will allow you to maintain regular contact with employees of other departments, supplying, or seeking information.
• Problem solving and gap analysis skills.
• Wafer manufacturing experience / combination of training and experiences
• Demonstrated innovation and self-motivated worker.
• Advance working knowledge of MS Office programs.

Nice To Haves

• Completed or in the process of completion of secondary education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct supervision of approximately 25-40 operators.
• Participates in the evaluation and discipline of operators and may have input on recommendations for selection and hire of new non-exempt operators.
• Provides general supervision of a major factory unit with responsibility for quantity and quality of work, costs, methods, and the interpretation and enforcement of company regulations.
• Completes business excellence projects focused on operational efficiency, safety, scrap reduction, cleanliness, cycle time and yield improvements.
• Plans own work conferring on unusual matters with upper management or HR Business Partner.
• Errors, while usually not subject to direct verification may be serious, causing losses such as improper utilization of labor, material and equipment, confined within the company.
• Has moderate monetary responsibility.
