About The Position

Renesas Electronics is a semiconductor wafer fabrication, assembly and test operation that produces analog and mixed signal products for high reliability and commercial applications, some of which are unique to the world. We are currently seeking a Wafer Fab Process Engineer at our beautiful Palm Bay, Florida location. Participate as a team member in supporting and improving the processes and equipment in the manufacture of integrated circuits. Includes the analysis of situations and data to solve problems, develop improvements, implement process controls and document results. Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with technical peers, management, fab & equipment technicians. Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors. Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes in diffusion, deposition and wafer fabrication and device physics. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Learns to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve routine problems.

Requirements

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of wafer fab process engineering experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person (ITAR role).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CMP processing preferred
