About The Position
Lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s state-of-the-art, highly automated, Mohawk Valley Wafer Fab in New York. The Production Manager oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility. This manager will hold responsibility for a 12-hour shift working from 6 to 6:15.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Manufacturing experience with 1-2 + years in a leadership role
- Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment
Nice To Haves
- preferred manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the fab floor
- Monitor team and individual performance.
- Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency
- Support 5S activities across the entire fab
- Establish and communicate production priorities.
- Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly
- Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Provide team with constructive and timely feedback.
- Enforce company and local policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.
