About The Position

Within the Recording Heads Operations at Seagate Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN, the Equipment Engineering and Services department is seeking skilled Engineering Technicians for multiple shifts. This role involves maintenance activities on equipment in our Wafer Fab Cleanroom, with cross-functional interaction with Process, RD, and Manufacturing departments. Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair vacuum equipment in Wafer fabrication.
  • Utilize knowledge of electronic circuits, PLCs, and Robotics, and read schematics.
  • Follow and complete PM instructions.
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment to meet company standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
  • Work with technicians who repair and maintain production and production test equipment.
  • Work safely on equipment requiring PPE, chemicals, or gases.
  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Administer training programs for proper equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.
  • Complete tasks in creative and effective ways, working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel.
