2nd Shift VTL Machinist
About The Position
At A to Z Machine, an employee-owned company with nearly 30 years of precision machining excellence, we are looking for a seasoned VTL Machinist who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. This role involves operating and programming a Toshiba Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) with precision and efficiency, setting up complex jobs, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions, and will troubleshoot and optimize machine performance while collaborating with a team that values knowledge and input.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience running and setting up VTL machines
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC programming
- Ability to work independently and solve complex machining challenges
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Nice To Haves
- Experience with live tooling or multi-axis machines
- Worked with large-diameter or heavy-part machining
- Comfortable mentoring junior machinists
