VTC AV Engineer (BG26101009PL)
About The Position
GTSC Bowen Group seeks a skilled VTC/AV Engineer to design, install, and maintain video teleconferencing and audio-visual systems supporting a network of technical communications facilities. This role is located in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations. The mission is to ensure reliable, secure collaboration capabilities across multiple locations. A current Top Secret clearance with SCI-eligibility and Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility is required. The position involves 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations. No certifications are required, but desired certifications include CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I. The salary range is $140-160K.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing or supporting VTC/AV systems, including in classified environments.
- Working knowledge of VTC codecs, AV control systems, and related collaboration technologies.
- Current Top Secret clearance with SCI-eligibility and SAP-eligibility.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I).
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
- Familiarity with multi-tier enterprise conference room standardization and design of classified and unclassified AV room configurations.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain VTC and AV systems across facility locations.
- Troubleshoot VTC/AV connectivity, performance, and integration issues.
- Coordinate with network and facility teams to ensure systems meet security and interoperability requirements.
- Support scheduling, testing, and live operation of VTC/AV systems for meetings and events.
- Maintain equipment inventories, documentation, and maintenance schedules.
- Support operations center AV integration, including NOC/SOC display systems and 24x7 monitoring environment requirements.
