About The Position

Robert Bosch Tool Corporation is seeking motivated, energetic individuals with a passion for excellence to join their growing team as Production Technicians. This role involves working on state-of-the-art equipment and controls, with opportunities for training and internal promotion. The Production Technician will be a technical expert in assigned areas, leading problem-solving activities, assisting engineering with First Time Through issues, and fostering strong working relationships with operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams. The position focuses on process improvement strategies, cycle time reductions, and cost reductions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of experience within CSB department in Laser and Coating
  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, shop floor team lead, Floater, or set up experience preferred
  • Ability to proactively identify problems with Not Right First Time and implement solutions
  • Ability to identify mechanical issues and assist TEF with solutions and any training needed to TEF
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to establish a strong working relationship within CSB department and demonstrate credibility and trustworthiness
  • Willing to travel when needed for machine runoffs or training
  • Passport and international travel required

Responsibilities

  • Lead problem solving activities in assigned areas.
  • Analyze Not Right First Time (NRFT) issues and assist engineering with solutions.
  • Lead training activities with production personnel during runoffs and new equipment launch phases, and training of new hires.
  • Perform all quality checks and machine calibrations within assigned areas.
  • Assist TEF personnel with troubleshooting issues within assigned areas, and train if needed.
  • Work with TEF personnel when PMs are being performed within assigned areas, when applicable.
  • Assist operations & engineering during equipment runoffs.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Operations, Engineering, Quality, & Maintenance (TEF).
  • Analyze and organize data to support sound business decisions by Engineering, Quality, & Management.
  • Support engineering in supplier developments and continuous improvement of products supplied.
  • Develop engineering skills where required.
  • Support Engineering in investigating new and upgraded technologies.
  • Participate in customer & supplier visits.
  • Participate in supplier technical discussions.
  • Provide production lines with technical support.
  • Support production PPAPs, GR&Rs, & Capabilities studies related to Quality.
  • Support New Developments with technical expertise and set up methods.
  • Perform operator duties, set-up, or assist Maintenance with PM/Technical assistance when needed.
  • Supervise daily activities and projects for areas assigned.
  • Assist engineering with the creation of all types of Work Instructions.
  • Communicate to Management any issues affecting the Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality.
