About The Position

Vermont Precision Tools, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator for the Medical Value Stream. This role involves training and responsibility for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manual grinding and/or CNC grinding equipment to produce high-quality precision ground medical burr blanks for the medical device industry. Vermont Precision Tools, Inc. manufactures a broad range of high-quality precision ground pins, blanks, and other tooling for various markets, including medical, aerospace, automotive, and defense. They also manufacture fixed limit gaging under the name Vermont Gage. Requirements

  • Understanding basic CNC programming
  • Ability to perform basic data entry functions
  • Experience operating manual tool grinders, disk grinders & centerless grinders
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment for product inspection
  • Ability to perform plate and final straightening processes
  • Ability to monitor part conformance and adjust manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to maintain established production levels
  • Ability to maintain quality production
  • Ability to remake and/or rework product
  • Ability to input basic data entries using internal computer program

Responsibilities

  • Understanding basic CNC programming for setting up production runs and making modifications.
  • Performing basic data entry functions.
  • Operating manual tool grinders, disk grinders & centerless grinders.
  • Utilizing measuring equipment to inspect product for accurate diameter tolerances.
  • Performing various plate and final straightening processes.
  • Monitoring part conformance and adjusting manufacturing equipment based on blueprint specifications or work order instructions.
  • Maintaining established production levels for all operations performed.
  • Maintaining quality production in accordance with company standards.
  • Remaking and/or reworking product that does not meet required specifications.
  • Inputting basic data entries using internal computer program on a daily basis.
