About The Position
Valeo is a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility through innovative solutions for greener and more secure transportation. As a leading automotive supplier, Valeo partners with automakers and new mobility actors worldwide. The VALEO NORTH AMERICA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented VPS/Process Co-Op for Fall 2026 to optimize and implement production processes in a manufacturing setting. This role offers hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Must be available for a full-time co-op position in Fall 2026.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant project work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Support the implementation of Valeo Production System (VPS) tools and methodologies, including but not limited to 5S, Standardized Work, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor process performance and identify trends.
- Create and update process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Support root cause analysis of production issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
- Contribute to projects aimed at reducing waste and improving overall operational effectiveness.
- Present findings and recommendations to team members and management.
