About The Position

Employer Technip Energies USA, Inc. is seeking a VPM Coordinator to procure critical third-party equipment and materials on time and to specification for major energy projects. This role involves reviewing and analyzing schedule information from assigned suppliers, providing feedback to the Vendor Performance Management (VPM) Project Manager and stakeholders, and utilizing VPM team resources to manage supplier procurement offers. The VPM Coordinator will ensure that procured equipment, materials, and services are delivered according to schedule, within budget, to specification (including industry codes and quality standards), and meet agreed contractual terms. The position requires evaluating technical aspects of supplier products for compliance with industry and internal standards, monitoring Purchase Order execution, updating order status in tracking tools, and maintaining accurate records of sourced items. Additionally, the role involves staying updated on global vendor sourcing options to support project objectives and optimize cost savings, coordinating inspection activities, proactively identifying potential delivery issues, conducting vendor evaluations, collaborating with vendors to build expertise and evaluate risks, developing recovery plans, and coordinating action plans to resolve non-conformities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a VPM Coordinator-related occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Procure critical third-party equipment and materials on time and to specification for major energy projects.
  • Review and analyze schedule information from assigned suppliers and provide relevant feedback to VPM Project Manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Utilize resources within VPM team to manage supplier procurement offers.
  • Ensure procured equipment, materials and services are delivered to schedule, within budget, to specification (including industry codes and quality standards) and meet agreed contractual terms.
  • Evaluate technical aspects of supplier products to ensure compliance with industry and internal standards.
  • Monitor Purchase Order execution in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Update order status in relevant tracking tools, including Joint Venture Projects.
  • Maintain accurate accessible records of all equipment, materials and services sourced including details on delivery, quality and vendor performance.
  • Remain updated on global vendor sourcing options to best support project objectives and optimize procurement cost savings.
  • Coordinate appropriate inspection activities with suppliers and T.EN contracted third-party inspection agencies in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
  • Proactively identify deficiencies or activities which could negatively impact delivery of equipment/services and adversely impact project objectives.
  • Conduct Vendor evaluations taking account of cost, quality, and delivery of products and services.
  • Collaborate with Vendors to build expertise/knowledge of products and evaluate risks.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans to mitigate risks/delays.
  • Coordinate action plans to resolve non-conformities, damaged equipment, over supplies, and/or short quantities.
