About The Position

Join StarChild Academy as a Lead VPK Teacher and build a career with meaning. As a Lead Teacher, you will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assess and document student progress. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 45 DCF Hours
• VPK Certification
• Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members, is required.
• The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role.
• Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
• Florida Background Screening Notice: This position requires Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law. Candidates may be required to complete screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development / CDA Certified preferred
• 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
• Prior experience with the assigned age group.
