VPK Lead Teacher
About The Position
Amore Learning Academy is seeking an exceptional VPK Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to preparing children for kindergarten and beyond. The ideal candidate will possess high expectations for themselves and their classroom, creating a warm, nurturing, organized, and engaging learning environment. This role requires a teacher who understands individual learning differences, uses positive guidance, and communicates professionally with families. The VPK Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, actively engaging with children, monitoring their development, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. Building positive partnerships with families and collaborating with the teaching team and leadership are also key aspects of this position. Amore Learning Academy emphasizes that while credentials are important, the candidate's genuine love for children, patience, compassion, professionalism, strong work ethic, and desire to be an exceptional teacher are paramount.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Staff Credential REQUIRED
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain required lesson plans, assessments, and classroom documentation
- Must meet all state and licensing requirements for the position

Nice To Haves
- VPK teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of Florida's VPK standards and kindergarten-readiness expectations preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten
- Actively interact and engage with children throughout the day
- Create an environment where children feel safe, loved, valued, and excited to learn
- Monitor children's development and complete required assessments and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, inviting classroom
- Build positive, professional partnerships with families
- Work collaboratively with your teaching team and school leadership
- Follow all licensing, health and safety, supervision, and company standards
