We are seeking a strategic and solutions-driven VP, Technology and Business Innovation to lead the development, optimization, and execution of technology initiatives across the organization. This role will serve as a key partner between business operations and technology teams, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance overall customer experience within the mortgage lending environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of mortgage operations and Encompass functionality, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that support organizational growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of Encompass experience required, including Loan Origination and/or Loan Servicing systems.
  • Strong expertise in Encompass Business Rules, workflow management, system administration, and process automation.
  • Extensive mortgage industry experience with strong knowledge of loan operations, compliance, servicing, and lending workflows.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technology initiatives, operational transformation projects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business processes and implement innovative technical solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience leveraging data analytics and operational reporting to drive strategic business decisions and performance improvements.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and the ability to influence organizational adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s technology and business innovation strategy by identifying, analyzing, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive operational growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide system and process enhancements, ensuring successful implementation, adoption, and communication of changes across all business units.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, workflow automation, regulatory compliance, and customer experience optimization.
  • Direct the configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of Encompass Business Rules, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate business needs, develop strategic technology roadmaps, and implement innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead system testing, quality assurance, and deployment efforts to ensure functionality, accuracy, scalability, and successful execution of technology initiatives.
  • Analyze operational metrics, business performance data, and market trends to provide strategic recommendations that support growth and business development initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, digital transformation, and technology-driven revenue growth across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, workflows, operational procedures, testing results, and technology governance standards.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams by fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and professional development.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technology, operations, sales, and executive leadership to align business objectives with technology solutions.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives, technology projects, and business development efforts as assigned.
