About The Position

The Vice President, TDS U.S. Enterprise & Operational Risk Management is responsible for bringing transparency to the enterprise and non-financial risk profile of TD Securities U.S. This is achieved through the coordination of enterprise risk management programs, risk appetite oversight, risk governance activities, and executive reporting that support effective risk oversight and strategic decision-making. TDS U.S. Enterprise & Operational Risk Management is responsible for building organizational capability to manage risk on an integrated and comprehensive basis across the TD Securities footprint in the United States and for promoting a strong risk culture throughout the region. As part of the second line of defense, the team supports the effective implementation of the Enterprise Risk Framework and associated risk management programs while providing independent oversight, challenge, and reporting of enterprise and non-financial risks. The team works closely with business and corporate function partners across TD Securities, U.S. entities, and enterprise risk functions to support strong governance, risk transparency, and regulatory compliance. The VP, TDS U.S. Enterprise & Operational Risk Management plays a key role in supporting the governance, oversight, and reporting of enterprise and non-financial risks across TD Securities U.S. reporting to the Head of TDS U.S. Operational Risk Management, the position supports the execution and enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, while providing strategic support to the TDS U.S. Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and broader risk leadership team. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate key risk governance activities, including executive and Board-level risk reporting, risk appetite oversight, committee governance, enterprise risk programs, and regulatory deliverables. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across businesses, risk functions, and corporate partners to support sound risk management practices and informed decision-making. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, Governance, Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, Compliance, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, risk governance, risk appetite, and risk reporting practices.
  • Experience supporting executive management committees, Board reporting, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, written communication, presentation development, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and management reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of TDS U.S. Operational Risk Management and the TDS U.S. Chief Risk Officer through the development of executive materials, risk assessments, strategic initiatives, and governance reporting.
  • Coordinate and support governance activities for risk management committees and executive governance forums, including the Wholesale Risk Management Committee and other senior management committees.
  • Lead the preparation of risk reporting and presentations for senior management, executive committees, and Board-level audiences.
  • Analyze risk information across risk programs to identify key themes, emerging risks, and areas requiring management attention.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Risk Appetite Statement and associated governance processes.
  • Coordinate risk appetite monitoring, reporting, and escalation processes.
  • Develop and maintain risk reporting, metrics, and scorecards used to assess the organization's risk profile.
  • Support top, emerging, and risk identification and reporting activities. This includes but is not limited to: Quarterly Top, Emerging and Accepted Risk (TEAR) process. Annual Risk Identification, Catalog and Measurement update.
  • Support the implementation of Enterprise Risk frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures in coordination with the Group risk programs.
  • Coordinate the execution and continuous improvement of Enterprise Risk Management programs and processes.
  • Support risk assessments, risk identification activities, risk culture initiatives, and other strategic risk programs.
  • Maintain program documentation and governance records to meet regulatory, audit, and enterprise requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance risk governance, reporting, and program effectiveness.
  • Partner with business, risk, compliance, finance, audit, and corporate function stakeholders across TD Securities and the broader enterprise.
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and governance reviews through coordination of materials and responses.
  • Monitor emerging risk management trends and regulatory developments and assess their impact on TDS U.S.
