About The Position

The Vice President, Strategic Initiatives is a hands-on senior leader on The Bancorp’s Finance team, advancing priorities across strategy, finance, balance-sheet management, investments, and technology. The role improves Finance processes and workflows, including Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO) and board-level materials, and brings structure and disciplined project management to ambiguous, high-priority initiatives. It redesigns key finance activities so they are efficient, repeatable, institutionalized, and well-controlled as the Finance team evolves. The position supports financial planning and performance management, analyzes balance-sheet and financial performance, and develops executive-level presentations, analyses, and recommendations. It partners across Treasury, Accounting, Risk, lending, deposit, investment, Technology, and leadership teams to improve reporting, planning systems, and workflows. The role is remote, with occasional travel expected approximately once per quarter for leadership meetings, planning sessions, vendor engagements, and industry or investor events. Within the first 12 months, success includes improving the consistency, timeliness, and quality of ALCO and executive reporting; delivering at least one significant finance process or workflow redesign with measurable improvements; institutionalizing at least two finance activities through documented procedures, ownership, and controls; and establishing a standard framework for tracking strategic initiatives. The role is expected to become a trusted cross-functional partner who drives ambiguous initiatives to measurable outcomes.
