You are a leader who oversees sales staff and operations of an organization and designs policies to increase revenue in accordance with organizational objectives. Sets target metrics for sales staff to reach in order to meet strategic goals for the organization. Develops and implements strategic plans for the sales department to maximize sales volume and revenue and gain market share.

  • Your leadership style is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates, trains, and engages others in an enthusiastic way. An emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style.
  • Passion for, and experience in, developing and leading high functioning sales or sales enablement teams, having led teams of 15+ with multiple layers of leadership.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of sales related industry experience with at least 7 years of sales leadership experience, and proven success in coaching a team to grow a sales pipeline and enhancing existing accounts and relationships.
  • Experience managing sales at a high growth rate with increasing the pipeline and with greater than $100M company revenue.
  • A proven understanding of construction and interior design.
  • Strong business acumen, success in building a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan including selling through partner channels.
  • Experience using a CRM to report on and manage the sales forecast and pipeline.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication abilities with a strong emphasis on listening and influencing, demonstrated in all aspects of Sales leadership.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide industry insight to various stakeholders across the business and to the board.
  • Able to build a high-performance culture. You are someone that can set high targets and foster an environment where the team works together to deliver outcomes.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada (up to 35-40% of time).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving revenue generation by developing a multi-channel sales plan to drive the top line and improve margins. Including managing vertical and industry specializations, ensuring direct reports have the connections and resources to drive revenue.
  • Accountable for the achievement of assigned organizational objectives for sales, volume, market growth, and other strategic goals.
  • Align the sales organization’s objectives with DIRTT’s long-range strategic objectives through active participation in corporate strategic planning, developing the go-to market strategy, prioritization of segments.
  • Leads, manages and coaches a passionate team of Directors, setting strategy and clear priorities, developing individuals’ skills, removing roadblocks, negotiating for outcomes, and providing organizational support to ensure that the entire team is thriving.
  • Interpret the forecasting data to plan for and drive results including identifying new markets, new sales opportunities, sales resource planning, and departmental budgeting.
  • Drive revenue and sales activities using customer, market and competitor data – continuously looking for new data avenues and resources to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Provide the company leadership team and other company functions clear insights on the sales functions by setting annual goals, KPIs and targets to support growth.
  • Manage, hire, mentor, and grow a team of sales directors to develop a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, standardization and repeatability of standard sales activities, establishing realistic, yet challenging goals for the team.
  • Take an active role in securing major revenue opportunities to achieve budget.
  • Define and own the sales processes that drive desired outcomes and identify improvements when required. Including go-to market strategy, aligning sales objectives with DIRTT’s operating model and product development enabling new growth areas.
  • Align, directs and empower the commercial team members to progress sales activities in each area of sales including monitoring and actively forecasting with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and top-of-funnel activities.
  • Work with the leadership team to shape the overarching strategy, collaborate cross-functionally including understanding product mix to enhance offerings and share feedback with Product Development, operations and other internal/external stakeholders where needed.
  • Combines initiative with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving DIRTT’s sales performance objectives.
  • Make calculated timely decisions to maximize pipeline potential.
  • Be the primary source for guidance and direction for direct reports.
  • Drive and sponsor development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team, empowering them to exceed sales performance targets.
