About The Position

Enterprise communication has moved beyond the inbox into a fragmented landscape of Slack, Teams, and autonomous AI agents. Our objective is to ensure that our product marketing evolves alongside this communication fabric. As the leader of Product Marketing for the Threat Protection Group (TPG), you will lead the industry’s transition from "Legacy Email Security" to a unified Collaboration Security paradigm. By centering our narrative on human behavior and agentic intent, you will establish Proofpoint as the definitive standard for the modern enterprise, ensuring our customers remain secure in an increasingly complex and automated world.

Requirements

  • 15+ Years of Product Marketing Leadership: Proven success in B2B cybersecurity marketing, with 8+ years in senior leadership (VP or Sr. Director) within a high-growth or public-scale enterprise environment.
  • Domain Mastery: Deep technical and market fluency in the Collaboration Security landscape, including Email, BEC, Identity-based threats, and Integrated Cloud Email Security (ICES).
  • The "Architect-Executor" Hybrid: A leader who can design a Product Marketing strategy for a $5B ARR journey but who also possesses the craftsmanship to personally refine a high-stakes keynote or launch narrative.
  • Public Company & PE Acumen: Comfortable operating at the speed and transparency of a premier organization. You understand the cadence of analyst relations and quarterly forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the global narrative for Human and Agent-Centric Collaboration Security. You will establish Proofpoint as the undisputed standard for protecting the communication fabric against advanced threats, from BEC to agent-based social engineering.
  • Serve as the lead marketing partner to Product Management, directly influencing the roadmap by synthesizing deep market intelligence, competitive shifts, and the evolving requirements of the Global 2000.
  • Lead, scale, and mentor a high-performing, distributed Product Marketing organization. You will foster a culture of technical rigor, craftsmanship, and high-velocity execution.
  • Lead the strategy to dismantle legacy incumbents and emerging disruptors. You will articulate a superior vision of visibility into human behavior and cross-platform threat context that clearly differentiates our platform in the market.
  • Act as the primary external face for the TPG business unit. You will command the stage at industry keynotes, Analyst Briefings, and Executive Advisory Boards, confidently shaping the conversation around the future of secure communication.
