About The Position

Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy driving product vision and aligning with company business objectives. Leads a talented team of product managers and marketers to create innovative solutions, enhance product offerings, and adapt to market trends. This role requires a forward-thinking leader committed to leveraging data-driven decision-making while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Ten+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing, with at least five years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in broadband or data center networking preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products and marketing strategies in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of product management and product marketing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with diverse groups.
  • Ability to deliver excellence in a matrix-based reporting structure.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with Clearfield’s overall goals.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs, guiding product development and marketing efforts.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and marketers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Build an inclusive team environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, application engineering, sales, and customer support teams to ensure a holistic approach to product development and marketing.
  • Work closely with the COO and CCO to align product initiatives with operational goals and commercial objectives.
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on strategic goals, market demands, and customer feedback.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, including positioning, messaging, and promotional activities.
  • Create effective sales tools, training, and collateral to support the sales team and drive customer engagement.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product direction, messaging, and positioning.
  • Use insights gained to guide product features and enhancements, ensuring they meet market demands.
  • Define and track success metrics and KPIs for both product and marketing initiatives to measure performance and effectiveness.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement and optimize product and marketing performance.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and ensure their needs are being met through both product offerings and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through targeted marketing efforts and product enhancements.
