About The Position

The VP Operations will support the Centric Brands Men’s and Women’s Businesses in the development and execution of a focused and prioritized business global growth plan. The VP Operations will serve as a strategic and key business partner to the EVP of Operations and Divisional Group President. In addition to serving as the key global operations leader to the business (making sure shared services are in place to support the division), a major focus for this role will be analyzing existing businesses operations and determining opportunities to drive process improvement, operational efficiencies, as well as drive the business strategy through operations through the organization. The VP Operations will be a catalyst for growth and will help operationalize new initiatives/acquisitions for the company. He/she Incumbent will work closely with the EVP of Operations, Divisional Group President and operational team in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of operations experience and a college degree preferred.
  • Wholesale, DTC and International experience in apparel/accessories supply chain will also be a plus.
  • Previous experience operationally supporting club retailers (Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, etc..) is a plus.
  • A strong operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Someone who can be both strategic and tactical as the business dictates.
  • Have experience as a senior level or head of operations with a proven track record leading and directing a sizeable wholesale apparel import manufacturing business to profitability and delivering promised results.
  • Flexible and adaptable. Amenable to looking at existing processes/standardizations and future solutions in different ways. Will not be rigid in approach.
  • Innovative approach. Bring new ideas and different ways of addressing business needs. A demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, identify opportunities and effectively implement new ideas.
  • A strategic thinker who produces short-term results in concert with long-term business objectives. The ability to quickly identify and prioritize goals and objectives for the organization and ensure they are executed as planned.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully achieving and exceeding cost, accuracy and service goals.

  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (French/English); English is necessary for this position since the person will serve clients coming from outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Division’s Distribution, Logistics, Customer Service, Order Management, and Business Operations.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan that leverages the scale/infrastructure of Centric, maximizes divisional opportunities, grows revenue and profit and minimizes expenses.
  • Drive operational excellence and implement best practices to achieve world-class supply chain, warehousing, forward and reverse logistics operations that align with the business.
  • Drive innovation though people, process and technology; maximize the Supply Chain functions.
  • Evaluate back-end operations. Develop and execute a strategy to run more efficiently to enhance operational efficiency
  • Establish processes to support change and focus on continuous and sustainable improvement.
  • Integrate new businesses as needed.
  • Deliver business results by working cross-functionally with brand operations executives and back office shared services.
  • Partner with Sourcing Production, and Sales leads to develop cohesive processes and procedures that support the business strategy and distribution requirements.
  • Partner with Corporate support leaders to increase customer service, streamline order execution processes and establish distribution processes to best support the businesses.
  • Partner with DC Operations team to identify best network strategy, SOP’s, improve VAS operations, optimize DC Bypass opportunities and minimize costs.
  • Work with planning and production to provide unit receipt, shipment and inventory forecasts by warehouse on monthly, weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure revenue and budget objectives are met, expanded on, and actively follow through on them.
  • Work with operations/finance team to review operational chargebacks to help negotiate with retailers and implement corrective actions.
  • Build credibility and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers; and 3PL partners to assist as needed with problem solving and relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain a robust set of departmental dashboards and KPI’s to monitor and measure performance.
  • Establish and manage business metrics in ERP system; ensure data integrity and appropriate system maintenance, including upgrades and new integrations.
  • Provides leadership, supports, motivates, directs and retains high-caliber staff.
  • Oversee building management and facilities approvals across operational locations.
  • Ensure facilities support operational efficiency, safety, and business continuity.
