About The Position

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, this Vice President of Operations (VPO) is responsible for the overall operation of multiple accounts or a significant multi-site account normally generating $100M+ in revenue. This individual will be accountable for galvanizing a team under a common growth and operations platform, and ultimately drive improvement in operational efficiency, revenue, margin, and client retention for each account in the overall portfolio. The VPO will work to continuously ensure the organization is delivering operational excellence, while also identifying innovative and creative services and solutions to expand on our clients' requirements, working closely with internal and external partners. The incumbent of this position will develop and maintain the overall strategy, priorities and direction for operations within the area. The Vice President of Operations (VPO) is responsible for driving consistency, innovation, and service excellence across the portfolio. This leader will develop and oversee all hospitality segments while fostering strong executive-level partnerships with client stakeholders. By providing strategic direction and leadership to the Directors of Portfolio Operations, the VPO ensures account teams consistently deliver exceptional hospitality experiences, achieve business objectives, and remain aligned with evolving client expectations. This leader will oversee a geographically dispersed portfolio of hospitality operations, including cafés, panties executive dining rooms (EDR), conference and meeting services, catering, workplace hospitality programs, and executive guest experiences. The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of leading leaders, managing complex multi-site operations, and delivering results in highly visible, client-facing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, food service, facilities management, or other service-oriented industries.
  • Proven success leading multi-site, geographically dispersed operations through District Managers, Directors, or equivalent leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of multiple clients and locations with responsibility for operational, financial, and client outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets, forecasting, profitability, and operational performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to develop high-performing leadership teams and build robust succession pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio of hospitality accounts, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, client commitments, and financial objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Director of Portfolio Operations and senior operational leaders, fostering accountability, engagement, succession planning, and talent development throughout the organization.
  • Ensure Director of Portfolio Operations maintain strong client relationships and effectively address operational, financial, and service-related opportunities and challenges within their accounts.
  • Serve as an executive-level partner to key client stakeholders, supporting major business reviews, growth opportunities, issue escalation, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Drive portfolio-wide operational excellence through standardized processes, best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Director of Portfolio Operations to achieve revenue growth, expense management, profitability, and operational performance goals.
  • Analyze business trends, performance metrics, and client feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Champion a culture of hospitality, service excellence, safety, compliance, and accountability across all locations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Culinary, Safety, and other internal partners to support operational success and business growth.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, new account transitions, acquisitions, and strategic business projects across the portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and business reviews to evaluate performance, support leadership teams, and strengthen client partnerships.
