Micas NetworksSan Jose, CA

About The Position

Micas Networks is seeking a Vice President of Sales to drive the company's next stage of revenue growth. Reporting to the CEO, this executive will lead sales strategy across neocloud and strategic accounts for our portfolio of open networking switch platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role: the ideal candidate is equally comfortable building executive relationships at the largest cloud and AI infrastructure customers, closing complex deals, and instilling the team, process, and forecasting discipline of a scaling sales organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the data center infrastructure industry (networking hardware experience a plus), including 5+ years in sales leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations at a networking, data center hardware, or semiconductor-adjacent company, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Established relationships with decision-makers at cloud, hyperscale, AI infrastructure, and large enterprise accounts.
  • Deep understanding of the data center networking market, including open networking, white-box/ODM switching, SONiC, and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong command of complex deal structuring, contract negotiation, and long sales cycles for hardware/infrastructure products.
  • Startup mindset: hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • High-energy, results-driven self-starter.
  • Ability to work on-site at least three days per week at our company headquarters in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed company revenue targets; define milestones, goals, and account coverage.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for Micas's data center switching portfolio, spanning hyperscale/cloud, neocloud, enterprise, and broad-market motions.
  • Personally lead engagements with C-level and VP-level decision-makers at strategic cloud, AI infrastructure, and large enterprise accounts.
  • Negotiate and close large, complex supply agreements, including pricing, terms, and long-term capacity commitments.
  • Represent Micas in the open networking ecosystem and with key technology partners.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of account managers and sales engineers.
  • Establish rigorous pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline; deliver accurate forecasts and revenue visibility to the executive team and board.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to bring customer and market requirements into the product roadmap, including SONiC-based open networking solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing on positioning, demand generation, trade shows, and industry events to build the Micas brand.
