About The Position

Intellibright is seeking a VP of Sales to lead its sales function. This is a unique opportunity for a proven seller to step into a VP role and own new business end-to-end, from targeting and outreach through closing and handoff. The role involves building the sales support team as the business grows, with a direct line to the CEO for immediate decision-making. The mission is to land mid-market and enterprise accounts that significantly increase Intellibright's trajectory, making new business predictable and establishing a robust sales engine. This position is ideal for a top producer who has outgrown their previous role and desires the title, authority, and compensation commensurate with building a sales function from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in B2B sales
  • At least 5 years selling agency or professional services at a senior level
  • A track record of personally originating and closing six-figure retainer relationships, with references
  • Experience selling performance marketing, analytics, or revenue-focused services to C-level buyers
  • Experience building and leading a sales team
  • Fluency in HubSpot or a comparable CRM
  • Belief in pipeline discipline

Responsibilities

  • Own new business end-to-end, from targeting and outreach through pitch, close, and handoff.
  • Build the sales support team as the business grows.
  • Land mid-market and enterprise accounts that change Intellibright's trajectory.
  • Ensure new business is predictable and establish a system for the sales engine.
  • Absorb ideal client profiles and pressure-test them against the network and market.
  • Take ownership of all inbound and outbound lead flow.
  • Build a target account list.
  • Launch a documented sales process in HubSpot with defined stages, forecast cadence, and proposal standards.
  • Build the sales-to-delivery handoff with the strategist team.
  • Define the first support hire and determine when it will be needed.
  • Reach $2.5M+ in sales-qualified pipeline (SQLs) within the first six months.
  • Close at least one new client at $200K+ in first-year value within the first six months.
  • Create opportunities with a network and method for opening doors at companies investing $100K+ a year in agency services.
  • Navigate buying committees of CMOs, CFOs, and CEOs.
  • Sell revenue outcomes to finance.
  • Qualify hard, scope honestly, and walk away from deals that would be bad for the business.
  • Treat the CRM as the source of truth and build forecastable pipeline and a repeatable proposal process.
  • Hire support staff when volume justifies it.
