VP of Risk & Compliance
About The Position
Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union is seeking a VP of Risk and Compliance to lead the strategy for protecting members, employees, and the organization. The role oversees compliance, risk management, and internal audit, and serves as the credit union’s BSA Officer. It administers the BSA/FRAML/OFAC Program and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal banking regulations. The VP partners with senior management to assess, identify, mitigate, and monitor key organizational risks. Areas include enterprise risk management (ERM), vendor risk management, insurance administration, regulatory analysis, project proposals, and board reporting. The role calls for integrity, strategic and analytical thinking, sound judgment, composure during examinations and audits, and the ability to coach others and foster accountability. This is an essential personnel position. The incumbent may need to respond to emergencies or crises outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform duties as assigned during emergency response.
Requirements
- Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- A college degree.
- Integrity, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and an analytical mindset.
- Ability to remain composed during examinations and audits, communicate with courage and tact, coach others, and build accountability.
Responsibilities

- Respond as needed during emergency or crisis situations and perform assigned duties to support organizational operations.
