The VP of Product Management will be responsible for ensuring the company as a whole is building, shipping, and supporting the right product. This role requires a holistic understanding of the product and how it contributes to the company's success. The VP will shape, define, and articulate product requirements and vision, melding requirements across various functions and teams to ensure individual unit objectives are met and aligned with the company’s overall plan. This includes working with the leadership team to define detailed metrics, acting as a conduit between the product team and leadership, and participating in daily product standups to monitor team cadence and unblock issues. The VP will also sell the product vision internally and externally, drive employee participation and input, and proactively solicit customer feedback to understand and predict future wants and needs. A key responsibility is creating and managing a detailed product roadmap tied to concrete business goals and revenue projections, prioritizing new features, and triaging bugs. The role involves tying multiple new products into the company’s overall plan, managing product launches through collaboration, and overseeing the product life cycle from early-stage to maturity. Identifying and assessing opportunities for product development based on market and data analysis, and keeping a pulse on the market to anticipate industry shifts are also crucial. The VP will create and socialize key metrics and reporting to track product success and be able to pivot the product while protecting the user experience.
