About The Position

brightfin provides clients with a suite of IT financial management and managed software subscriptions to enable your organization to rationalize, comprehend, normalize, optimize, and allocate spend to clearly show IT’s value in delivering revenue, services, and organizational enablement for the enterprise. The role involves building the function, owning the category narrative, and capitalizing on a significant competitive opportunity in the market.

Requirements

  • Enterprise B2B SaaS marketing leadership at the VP level.
  • Proven track record of building pipeline for complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales.
  • Experience building a marketing function from scratch or near-scratch at a growth-stage company.
  • Ability to be effective without an immediate team.
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise CIO and IT finance buyer.
  • Experience in category creation or market repositioning.
  • An AI-native working style, comfortable using AI in daily work.
  • Candidates must be US-Based.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or adjacent to TEM, ITFM, FinOps, IT Asset Management, or cloud cost management.
  • ServiceNow ecosystem fluency (partner marketing, marketplace, or co-sell experience).
  • Experience in a PE-backed growth company, understanding velocity, discipline, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with competitive displacement against entrenched incumbents (IBM, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Podcast or content-led marketing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the category narrative for AI-Native IT Spend Optimization, making it a recognized concept among analysts, CIOs, and across all external platforms.
  • Drive demand generation and account-based marketing, with a focus on contributing to new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) pipeline.
  • Develop and execute a competitive displacement strategy, partnering with the CRO to target specific accounts.
  • Manage content, thought leadership initiatives, and the Brightfin podcast.
  • Oversee brand, website, and all external communications, including presence in the ServiceNow ecosystem and at major events.
  • Publish the Annual IT Spend Optimization Benchmark, a key piece of intellectual property.
  • Build and scale a lean, AI-native, outcome-obsessed marketing team as pipeline grows.
