About The Position

The VP of Marketing is the senior-most marketing leader at Gymreapers, responsible for owning and scaling the entire marketing function across Brand & Creative, Performance & Growth Marketing, Lifecycle (Email/SMS/Retention), Social, Content & Community, Creator & Partnerships, and PR & Communications. This is a player-coach role requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. You will partner directly with the CEO and executive team to drive brand equity and profitable growth across all channels.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of marketing experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role (VP/CMO level)
  • Experience scaling a DTC or omnichannel consumer brand ($150M+ preferred)
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing and ecommerce growth
  • Strong understanding of key metrics: MER, CAC, LTV, ROAS, attribution
  • Proven ability to lead both brand and performance marketing
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams
  • Background in fitness, strength, or athletic apparel industries
  • Experience scaling creator/ambassador programs into meaningful revenue channels
  • International expansion experience (UK, EU, Canada, Australia)
  • Experience with tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Triple Whale/Northbeam
  • Experience in founder-led or high-growth private companies

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Gymreapers brand across all touchpoints
  • Lead creative strategy across paid, organic, and lifecycle channels
  • Build and manage an integrated campaign calendar
  • Maintain a high bar for creative quality and brand consistency
  • Own DTC growth across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and Amazon Ads
  • Manage full-funnel performance (MER, CAC, LTV, ROAS)
  • Drive testing culture across channels and creatives
  • Own marketing budget and P&L in partnership with Finance
  • Build and scale email, SMS, and loyalty programs
  • Improve retention, repeat purchase rate, and LTV
  • Develop segmentation and personalization strategies
  • Lead organic social strategy across key platforms
  • Scale creator, athlete, and ambassador programs into revenue channels
  • Strengthen community engagement and brand affinity
  • Own PR, brand storytelling, and cultural moments
  • Partner with Ecommerce on conversion rate optimization (CRO) and PDP strategy
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for product launches
  • Support international expansion efforts
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team
  • Manage agencies and external partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Operations, and Ecommerce
