About The Position

Yoodli is seeking a VP of Marketing to lead and scale its marketing operations as a key member of the executive team. This role reports directly to the CEO and involves participation in board meetings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a robust demand generation engine, focusing on pipeline creation, and leveraging this success to enhance positioning, category definition, brand identity, and customer advocacy. The position requires experience in a B2B SaaS company that has scaled through its growth phase to $100M ARR, with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at this stage. This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder who is comfortable with both strategic initiatives and tactical execution, including utilizing AI-native tools for tasks like writing positioning documents, setting up campaigns, and shipping landing pages. The VP of Marketing will be expected to propose and run bold experiments, iterating quickly and discontinuing underperforming initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience leading marketing as an executive reporting to a CEO, or as a senior marketing leader, within a B2B SaaS company scaling through the growth phase up to $100M ARR.
  • Proven ability to build a marketing measurement model trusted by a CFO and a board, with the capacity to explain funnel math for a previously managed business.
  • Experience setting a marketing vision that a company rallied behind, with demonstrable examples of how it influenced sales strategies.
  • Experience running the full marketing function, encompassing demand generation, product marketing, brand and communications, partner and customer marketing, and marketing operations, with the ability to invest effectively across these areas without on-the-job learning.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executives and boards, capable of defending funnel performance and spend in skeptical environments.
  • Proficiency in building with AI-native tools and shipping deliverables without reliance on engineering.
  • Understanding that legacy marketing playbooks are insufficient for current market demands.
  • Ability to perform individual tasks and lead through others, knowing when each approach is appropriate.
  • Track record of making bold bets, conducting experiments, and taking smart risks rather than playing it safe.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with a history of developing existing teams and hiring necessary talent.

Responsibilities

  • Build the demand engine, owning pipeline generation end-to-end across paid, organic, partner, events, and outbound support, with clear accountability for pipeline contribution, CAC, conversion, and ROI on spend.
  • Make marketing measurable by standing up the marketing ops, attribution, and reporting foundation, and partnering with Sales and RevOps to ensure marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline converts to revenue.
  • Own the story by leading product marketing and positioning, including the strategic shift to Yoodli as an AI Platform for Human Skills. Set sales messaging, run product launches, and manage competitive analysis and packaging in collaboration with Sales and Product.
  • Build the category and brand by leading press, analyst relations, social media, and thought leadership efforts, identifying opportunities that generate significant buzz.
  • Turn customers into the growth engine by building customer marketing and advocacy programs to leverage customer success stories (e.g., Google Cloud, Snowflake, Harness) as repeatable assets for pipeline generation and expansion.
  • Grow with partners by building partner marketing initiatives with the existing ecosystem that drives revenue, including Salesforce, SAP, FranklinCovey, and Korn Ferry.
  • Lead the marketing team, which includes inheriting a team of four across events and field marketing, product marketing, growth marketing, and press and social. Develop existing team members, hire to fill gaps, and build a scalable function.
  • Communicate effectively at the executive and board level, translating marketing strategy and performance into a clear, credible narrative for the CEO, leadership team, and board, and contributing to overall company strategy alongside Sales, Product, and CS.
  • Place bold bets by proposing well-reasoned experiments, taking calculated risks, rapidly scaling successful initiatives, and quickly discontinuing those that are not performing.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ($180,000-$230,000 salary)
  • Significant bonus
  • Meaningful equity
  • Full benefits: healthcare, dental, vision, 401k
  • Flexible PTO
