About The Position

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation. We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact. With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you. The Opportunity Reporting to the CMO, the VP, Growth is the single-threaded owner of Flock’s full-funnel growth engine - lifecycle (CRM/marketing automation), performance marketing (search, paid social, programmatic), web & blog, experimentation, and the build-out of our ATL media capability from zero. You’ll maximize attributed pipeline and revenue efficiency through automation, machine-learning–led optimization, and ruthless experimentation. You will develop a best-in-class data/technology spine, as well as an analytics team that enables experimentation as a second language across all of Flock Marketing. You’ll define the operating system, hire and coach high-leverage ICs/leaders, and prove impact with board-grade KPIs.

Requirements

  • 15+ years building growth engines at high-growth tech or platform companies; owned pipeline, CAC/payback, and owned/paid channel conversion at scale.
  • Deep expertise in lifecycle automation (MAP/CRM/CDP), SEM/paid social/programmatic, SEO/CRO, and web performance; comfortable scoping growth engineering work.
  • Advanced experimentation and measurement chops: holdouts/geo tests, MTA, MMM, incrementality, and causal inference fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of contemporary marketing technology, and be a futurist in determining best-in-class for tomorrow.
  • Systems operator who moves quickly from hypothesis → test → decision → playbook; strong financial rigor and P&L literacy.
  • Cross-functional leader who can translate brand narratives and PMM positioning into performant funnels and offers without sacrificing craft or compliance.
  • Team builder and coach; hires bar-raising ICs/managers and creates a culture of speed, learning, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Own growth strategy, roadmap, and targets across acquisition, activation, expansion, and retention; deliver CAC/payback improvements and pipeline influence by segment/vertical.
  • Marketing operations and technology stack for the entire marketing organization.
  • Lead lifecycle marketing end-to-end: identity-resolved journeys, trigger design, dynamic offers, and rigorous measurement; partner with Sales on lead quality, SLAs, and feedback loops.
  • Expand our Analytics team and capabilities, enabling experimentation and iteration at speed and scale.
  • Build and scale performance media across SEM, paid social, and programmatic; establish channel playbooks, audience frameworks, creative/offer matrices, and incrementality testing.
  • Treat web and blog as a product: own information architecture, page performance, SEO, and conversion; stand up a durable CRO program (A/B/MVT, personalization, QA gates).
  • Launch the ATL media function from zero (OOH/audio/sponsorships) using experimentation-first buying and MMM-informed allocation.
  • Stand up a disciplined experimentation engine: geo/holdout tests, causal frameworks, pre-registered hypotheses, and a shared learning library that codifies wins into playbooks.
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff to define the growth data model, MMM/MTA strategy, and a quarterly reallocation approach that moves dollars to highest-ROI channels.
  • Operationalize distribution for impact dashboards and related proof assets (SEO, amplification, email, social), and measure backlinks, engagement, and pipeline influence.
  • Design governance: taxonomy/UTM standards, landing page templates, privacy/consent compliance, and channel QA so measurement is trustworthy and repeatable.
  • Manage vendor/agency surge capacity with tight SOWs, rate cards, and performance SLAs; in-house where quality/velocity merits it.
  • Publish a weekly growth readout (WBR inputs) and a quarterly business review tying spend to revenue outcomes, insights, and next-quarter reallocations.
  • Land a best-in-class growth strategy for Community Safety in the first 3-6 months.
