About The Position

Juno is seeking a VP of Finance to lead its financial operations end-to-end. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the founders, requiring a blend of strategic thinking and operational execution. The ideal candidate will build the finance function from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing ambiguity and driving impact. This role is for someone who wants ownership and proximity to decision-making, rather than a mature, established finance department.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a finance leader (VP Finance or senior finance operator), preferably with startup or high-growth company experience.
• Hands-on approach, comfortable with both strategic planning and detailed spreadsheet work; no task is considered beneath them.
• Strong command of modern finance and business tooling, including fluency in SaaS finance stacks (e.g., ERP/accounting, FP&A, billing, BI).
• Comfortable working closely with technical teams and their systems.
• Actively uses AI tools to enhance efficiency and seeks opportunities for automation and augmentation in the finance function.
• Excellent judgment, low ego, and high output, capable of delivering great work with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy and planning, including building and maintaining the financial model, driving budgeting and forecasting, and providing clear insights into unit economics and growth.
• Manage the finance operations, encompassing accounting, month-end close, cash management, AP/AR, payroll, and audit readiness. This includes setting up systems and often running them directly in the early stages.
• Serve as the primary financial partner to the founders, transforming ambiguous questions into rigorous analyses, pressure-testing decisions, and assisting in setting priorities.
• Lead fundraising efforts and investor relations, including supporting capital raises, managing the data room, and overseeing board and investor reporting.
• Oversee compliance, tax, and risk management to ensure the company operates effectively within the financial services space and remains audit-ready.
• Build scalable finance infrastructure, including establishing tools, controls, and eventually a team to support the business's growth.
