About The Position

The VP of Finance is responsible for providing Regional, Division management, Corporate office and Joint Venture partners with timely and accurate financial statements, reports, forecasts and analysis, performing accounting services, complying with company accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal reporting requirements. This is a management level position and is directly responsible for overseeing and managing the functional operations of the Accounting, Accounts Payable and Budget Departments. Requirements

  • Multiple years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance, including relevant Homebuilding experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • JDEdwards accounting system experience desirable
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong communication and supervisory skills
  • High sense of urgency and focus on meeting deadlines
  • Good language skills, both written and oral

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, reports and forecasts as required by Lennar policy and reviewed with executive staff.
  • Responsible for JV accounting, compliance, and preparation of financial reporting packages.
  • Ensure division compliance with corporate policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and JV operating agreements.
  • Meet the corporate reporting deadlines as outlined on corporate calendar.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly financial projections and measure Division performance against these projections.
  • Lead operation’s asset light strategy
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Division President and help implement core strategy across the operation.
  • Drive corporate initiatives and new implementations throughout the Division
  • Train, mentor and develop direct reports
  • Evaluate new opportunities and provide input into purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, management agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of the Quarterly Operations review meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
