This role is crucial for guiding Loop through its next growth phase, focusing on building the financial operating system, shaping company strategy through financial insight, and ensuring decisions are grounded in robust analysis. It's a hands-on, builder's role where the individual will establish systems, discipline, and financial infrastructure to support scaling. The ideal candidate can seamlessly transition between strategic and execution-level tasks, presenting to investors, building financial models, and collaborating with various departments.

Requirements

10+ years of finance experience within high-growth venture-backed technology companies.
Experience helping build finance within a Series A, B, or C business.
Proven experience building forecasting models, board packs, and financial plans independently.
Experience supporting fundraising, investor diligence, or venture capital reporting.
Significant experience with FP&A, financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Commercial thinking, understanding that finance supports business decision-making.
Experience working directly with founders or executive leadership in strategic discussions.
Ability to explain complex financial concepts simply and influence non-finance leaders.
Enjoyment of solving ambiguous problems.
Thrive operating with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy.
Demonstrate Loop's cultural defaults: radical ownership, customer obsession, intellectual honesty, urgency, curiosity, and discipline to execute.

Nice To Haves

Experience scaling a venture-backed business through multiple funding rounds.
Experience building investor-facing board reporting that explains the business.
Direct partnership with CEOs or founders on company strategy, capital allocation, and long-term planning.
Experience building finance functions from the ground up, including system selection, reporting rhythms, and scalable processes.
Understanding of SaaS, AI, or enterprise software economics (ARR, gross margin, retention, customer acquisition economics, unit economics).
Experience implementing ERP or FP&A platforms such as NetSuite, Pigment, Mosaic, Anaplan, or similar.
CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA (outstanding operating experience is valued more than credentials).

Responsibilities

Build Loop's Financial Operating System, including financial architecture, models, planning processes, and operating cadence.
Own Financial Planning & Analysis, including company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Build integrated operating models covering revenue, hiring, burn, runway, headcount, infrastructure investment, and multiple growth scenarios.
Turn financial planning into a competitive advantage.
Act as the Founders' Strategic Finance Partner, working directly on major decisions, challenging assumptions, and providing financial clarity.
Lead Board & Investor Finance, preparing board packs, developing investor presentations, and supporting fundraising and due diligence.
Own Cash & Capital management, including cash flow forecasts, fundraising scenarios, and monitoring key financial metrics.
Build Commercial Finance by partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to evaluate pricing, analyze profitability, and develop decision-making dashboards.
Build Scalable Finance Operations, including accounting oversight, payroll, reporting, controls, and governance, while managing external relationships.
Build the Future Finance Team, starting as an individual contributor and growing the finance function by hiring, mentoring, and developing talent.
