VP, Middle Office Transformation Accounting Oversight

PIMCO•Austin, TX
•$145,000 - $199,000

About The Position

PIMCO is seeking an experienced investment accounting professional to manage the design and delivery of key aspects of the firm’s Middle-Office Transformation (MOT) program. Working with stakeholders across the front, middle, and back office, the role defines PIMCO’s accounting requirements and guides systems, processes, and capabilities toward a target state. This visible, hands-on role sits at the intersection of accounting, investments, performance, and transaction processing. The successful candidate leads a team assessing current capabilities and processes against stakeholder accounting needs, then redesigns them to provide high-quality decision-support information. As an investment accounting subject matter expert, this person serves as a central point of contact for accounting considerations during and beyond the transformation. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, including accounting policy, industry-standard methodologies, accounting and valuation considerations, and gain/loss. It also calls for strong communication and organizational skills, a broad understanding of investment strategies and the middle office, and an active, detail-oriented approach to complex data and organizational change. The position may be based in New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Newport Beach, CA.
