About The Position

ADP is seeking a VP, Medical Director to lead and oversee a multi-site medical practice consisting of 13 locations across the United States. This role combines clinical responsibilities with strategic administrative leadership, ensuring exceptional patient care while driving innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with active medical license.
  • Proven experience in clinical practice and administrative leadership.
  • Experience leading clinical teams (hospital or clinical leadership preferred).
  • Ability to influence, manage risk/liability, and lead a 32-person team (including 13 direct reports).
  • Strong understanding of medical liability and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy, compassion, and outstanding bedside manner.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on patient care.
  • Passion for innovation and patient-centered care.

  • Experience in multi-site operations and cultural integration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care at the primary location and offer coverage for overflow patients in other NJ offices.
  • Support physicians in practicing safely and comfortably within established guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of compassionate care and foster strong patient relationships.
  • Integrate AI-driven solutions into the practice to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure new programs and technologies align with the company’s culture and respect the unique subcultures of each location—adopting a tailored approach rather than “one-size-fits-all.”
  • Monitor and mitigate medical liability risks to protect the organization.
  • Conduct annual audits of each site (1–2 days per location) to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for physicians and clinical staff as needed.
  • Oversee a team of physicians, physician assistants, and medical assistants, including a lead medical assistant responsible for office administration.
  • Collaborate with HR and Security teams to ensure workplace safety and provide educational materials for staff.
  • Develop and implement new programs that benefit associates and enhance overall health and wellness offerings.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making for medical operations.
  • Ensure proper coding systems and medical staff compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all sites.
