VP/MD, Technology Business Operations

About The Position

The VP/MD, Technology Business Operations leads Technology’s financial operations in partnership with FP&A, helping turn existing cost-tagging, tracking, and reporting capabilities into accurate, well-understood budgets, forecasts, and spending decisions. The role reconciles staffing, vendor, and spending assumptions; challenges weak estimates; explains variances; presents spending choices; and drives purchases and renewals through Procurement while respecting corporate controls and approval authority. The position program-manages agreed cross-cutting initiatives by coordinating owners, dependencies, milestones, and risks, while accountable leaders retain ownership of outcomes. It facilitates Technology’s strategic and annual planning in partnership with the CTO and deputy CTOs, runs the leadership team’s operating cadence, and makes audit and risk commitments, exceptions, and decisions visible. The role uses delegated CTO authority to secure inputs and resolve friction, escalating decisions outside its mandate. As Technology’s primary coordination point with HR, the role aligns organizational, reporting, performance-planning, headcount, contractor, and hiring activities with HR, Finance, and the deputy CTOs. It coordinates goal-setting, performance-review, calibration, staff-development, training-approval, engagement-survey, and recognition activities, while managers retain responsibility for feedback, ratings, and employee decisions. The role leads Technology communications to executives, staff, and business partners, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, executive materials, town halls, staff messages, and notices about organizational, policy, and process changes. It manages a small team while remaining hands-on in financial analysis, communications, and complex coordination. Some travel to OMF sites is required.
