The Market Manager is responsible for the successful business development of their market, which includes business planning and budgeting, and attaining commercial deposit, loan, and revenue goals. They are also responsible for developing a business referral network (Centers of Influence - COIs) which will drive the majority of their business development growth, prospecting of potential clients, active participation in business networking events, and holding leadership roles within community and business organizations to build the bank's brand recognition and extend name recognition and reputation. The Market Manager is responsible for the coaching, performance management, and talent management of their direct reports. They are also responsible for overseeing their market branches' operational and compliance proficiencies, sales success, and the development of branch employees, while ensuring that the branches practice sound risk management and adhere to all policies and procedures of the Bank. Market Managers manage more than one branch. The Market Manager is responsible for spending a minimum of 75% of their time outside the office doing business development. The other 25% of their time should be spent on coaching, branch observations, administrative/reporting responsibilities, and filling in for the FCM only when instructed to do so by the VP of Sales.
