About The Position

The Fay Group is seeking a VP, Human Resources to join their team. This role reports to the Chief People Officer and is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business strategies. The position drives initiatives and core HR processes with a hands-on, consultative approach, acting as a key point of contact and advisor to the business leadership team. The VP, Human Resources is accountable for developing and executing HR programs in a dynamic environment, advocating for best practices and cost-effective methodologies. This role leads a team of HR Business Partners and Specialists, overseeing Onboarding, Employee Relations, Employee Investigations, HR & Workplace Policies, Leave Management, Performance Management, Retention, and Separations. Responsibilities include HR compliance, data integrity, reporting, and metrics for HR processes and programs throughout the employee lifecycle. The VP, Human Resources consults and collaborates across the HR Function on enterprise initiatives, providing expertise and organizational perspective to ensure consistency with company goals, culture, values, and future requirements. The position manages and mentors the HR Business Partner Team, providing training, coaching, guidance, and expertise to enhance the overall HR organization. Success in this role requires balancing strategic planning with real-time execution, effective influencing skills, and strong business/financial acumen, with a broad base of experience across Human Resources. The contributions of this role and the HR Business Partner Team will support all facets of the employee lifecycle and inform strategies to enhance the employee experience and culture at Fay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field required
  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources in a business partner capacity to include developing and leading core HR processes
  • 7+ years’ experience managing people/ leading teams to include the acquisition and allocation of resources, performance management, and talent development
  • Direct experience supporting diverse business functions
  • Previous experience driving change within small to mid-size companies
  • Prior experience leading policy development and process/ workflow reviews
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading initiatives across a distributed organization structure, requiring effective management of diverse stakeholders
  • Thorough knowledge of federal/ state employment laws and regulatory requirements
  • Depth of experience with HRIS platforms
  • Strong skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical and financial acumen
