Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years in the construction industry with exposure to multiple product lines (aggregates preferred)
  • 7-10 years in sales, operations, or engineering roles, with a focus on safety
  • Prior leadership experience
  • M & A experience
  • Developing business cases to support growth projects
  • Solid understanding of operations and sales, with in-depth financial knowledge (P & L, EVA, budgeting)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sound decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop, measure, and adjust performance results, manager budgets, and costs
  • Provide vision and strategies, align business goals with the regional and organizational strategy of the Midwest Region and the Heidelberg Material organization
  • Create a production plan, adapt to market conditions
  • Lead and develop management, ensure effective talent strategies
  • Build key customer relationships, engage with industry and community, direct sales and marketing
  • Identify and implement improvements, leverage technology for better customer experience and cost savings
